the sabbath day。
13：20于是商人和贩卖各样货物的，一两次住宿在耶路撒冷城外。
So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice。
13：21我就警戒他们说，你们为何在城外住宿呢。若再这样，我必下手拿办你们。从此以后，他们在安息日不再来了。
Then I testified against them； and said unto them； Why lodge ye about the wall？ if ye do so again； I will lay hands on you。 From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath。
13：22我吩咐利未人洁净自己，来守城门，使安息日为圣。我的神阿，求你因这事记念我，照你的大慈爱怜恤我。
And I manded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves； and that they should e and keep the gates； to sanctify the sabbath day。 Remember me； O my God； concerning this also； and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy。
13：23那些日子，我也见犹大人娶了亚实突，亚扪，摩押的女子为妻。
In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod； of Ammon； and of Moab：
13：24他们的儿女说话，一半是亚实突的话，不会说犹大的话，所说的是照着各族的方言。
And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod； and could not speak in the Jews' language； but according to the language of each people。
13：25我就斥责他们，咒诅他们，打了他们几个人，拔下他们的头发，叫他们指着神起誓，必不将自己的女儿嫁给外邦人的儿子，也不为自己和儿子娶他们的女儿。
And I contended with them； and cursed them； and smote certain of them； and plucked off their hair； and made them swear by God； saying； Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons； nor take their daughters unto your sons； or for yourselves。
13：26我又说，以色列王所罗门不是在这样的事上犯罪吗。在多国中并没有一王像他，且蒙他神所爱，神立他作以色列全国的王。然而连他也被外邦女子引诱犯罪。
Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things？ yet among many nations was there no king like him； who was beloved of his God； and God made him king over all Israel： nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin。
13：27如此，我岂听你们行这大恶，娶外邦女子干犯我们的神呢。
Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil； to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives？
13：28大祭司以利亚实的孙子，耶何耶大的一个儿子是，和伦人叁巴拉的女婿，我就从我这里把他赶出去。
And one of the sons of Joiada； the son of Eliashib the high priest； was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite： therefore I chased him from me。
13：29我的神阿，求你记念他们的罪。因为他们玷污了祭司的职任，违背你与祭司利未人所立的约。
Remember them； O my God； because they have defiled the priesthood； and the covenant of the priesthood； and of the Levites。
13：30这样，我洁净他们，使他们离绝一切外邦人，派定祭司和利未人的班次，使他们各尽其职。
Thus cleansed I them from all strangers； and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites； every one in his business；
13：31我又派百姓按定期献柴，和初熟的土产。我的神阿，求你记念我，施恩与我。
And for the wood offering； at times appointed； and for the firstfruits。 Remember me； O my God； for good。

1：1亚哈随鲁作王，从印度直到古实，统管一百二十七省。
Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus； （this is Ahasuerus which reigned； from India even unto Ethiopia； over an hundred and seven and twenty provinces：）
1：2亚哈随鲁王在书珊城的宫登基。
That in those days； when the king Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom； which was in Shushan the palace；
1：3在位第三年，他一切首领臣仆设摆筵席，有波斯和米底亚的权贵，就是各省的贵胄与首领，在他面前。
In the third year of his reign； he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants； the power of Persia and Media； the nobles and princes of the provinces； being before him：
1：4他把他荣耀之国的丰富，和他美好威严的尊贵，给他们看了许多日，就是一百八十日。
When he shewed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days； even an hundred and fourscore days。
1：5这日子满了，又为所有住书珊城的大小人民，在御园的院子里设摆筵席七日。
And when these days were expired； the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace； both unto great and small； seven days； in the court of the garden of the king's palace；
1：6有白色，绿色，蓝色的帐子，用细麻绳，紫色绳从银环内系在白玉石柱上。有金银的床榻摆在红，白，黄，黑玉石铺的石地上。
Where were white； green； and blue； hangings； fastened with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and pillars of marble： the beds were of gold and silver； upon a pavement of red； and blue； and white； and black； marble。
1：7用金器皿赐酒，器皿各有不同。御酒甚多，足显王的厚意。
And they gave them drink in vessels of gold； （the vessels being diverse one from another；） and royal wine in abundance； according to the state of the king。
1：8喝酒有例，不准勉强人，因王吩咐宫里的一切臣宰，让人各随己意。
And the drinking was according to the law； none did pel： for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house； that they should do according to every man's pleasure。
1：9王后瓦实提在亚哈随鲁王的宫内，也为妇女设摆筵席。
Also Vashti the queen made a feast for the women in the royal house which belonged to king Ahasuerus。
1：10第七日，亚哈随鲁王饮酒，心中快乐，就吩咐在他面前侍立的七个太监，米户幔，比斯他，哈波拿，比革他，亚拔他，西达，甲迦，
On the seventh day； when the heart of the king was merry with wine； he manded Mehuman； Biztha； Harbona； Bigtha； and Abagtha； Zethar； and Carcas； the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king；
1：11请王后瓦实提头戴王后的冠冕到王面前，使各等臣民看她的美貌，因为她容貌甚美。
To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal； to shew the people and the princes her beauty： for she was fair to look on。
1：12王后瓦实提却不肯遵太监所传的王命而来，所以王甚发怒，心如火烧。
But the queen Vashti refused to e at the king's mandment by his chamberlains： therefore was the king very wroth； and his anger burned in him。
1：13那时，在王左右常见王面，国中坐高位的，有波斯和米底亚的七个大臣，就是甲示拿，示达，押玛他，他施斯，米力，玛西拿，米母干，
Then the king said to the wise men； which knew the times； （for so was the king's manner toward all that knew law and judgment：
1：14都是达时务的明哲人。按王的常规，办事必先询问知例明法的人。王问他们说，
And the next unto him was Carshena； Shethar； Admatha； Tarshish； Meres； Marsena； and Memucan； the seven princes of Persia and Media； which saw the king's face； and which sat the first in the kingdom；）
1：15王后瓦实提不遵太监所传的王命，照例应当怎样办理呢。
What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law； because she hath not performed the mandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains？
1：16米母干在王和众首领面前回答说，王后瓦实提这事，不但得罪王，并且有害于王各省的臣民。
And Memucan answered before the king and the princes； Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only； but also to all the princes； and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus。
1：17因为王后这事必传到众妇人的耳中，说，亚哈随鲁王吩咐王后瓦实提到王面前，她却不来，她们就藐视自己的丈夫。
For this deed of the queen shall e abroad unto all women； so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes； when it shall be reported； The king Ahasuerus manded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him； but she came not。
