15：3耶和华的眼目，无处不在。恶人善人，他都鉴察。
The eyes of the LORD are in every place； beholding the evil and the good。
15：4温良的舌，是生命树。乖谬的嘴，使人心碎。
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life： but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit。
15：5愚妄人藐视父亲的管教。领受责备的，得着见识。
A fool despiseth his father's instruction： but he that regardeth reproof is prudent。
15：6义人家中，多有财宝。恶人得利，反受扰害。
In the house of the righteous is much treasure： but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble。
15：7智慧人的嘴，播扬知识。愚昧人的心，并不如此。
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge： but the heart of the foolish doeth not so。
15：8恶人献祭，为耶和华所憎恶。正直人祈祷，为他所喜悦。
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD： but the prayer of the upright is his delight。
15：9恶人的道路，为耶和华所憎恶。追求公义的，为他所喜爱。
The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD： but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness。
15：10舍弃正路的，必受严刑。恨恶责备的，必致死亡。
Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way： and he that hateth reproof shall die。
15：11阴间和死亡，尚在耶和华眼前，何况世人的心呢。
Hell and destruction are before the LORD： how much more then the hearts of the children of men？
15：12亵慢人不爱受责备。他也不就近智慧人。
A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him： neither will he go unto the wise。
15：13心中喜乐，面带笑容。心里忧愁，灵被损伤。
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance： but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken。
15：14聪明人心求知识。愚昧人口吃愚昧。
The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge： but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness。
15：15困苦人的日子，都是愁苦。心中欢畅的，常享丰筵。
All the days of the afflicted are evil： but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast。
15：16少有财宝，敬畏耶和华，强如多有财宝，烦乱不安。
Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith。
15：17吃素菜，彼此相爱，强如吃肥牛，彼此相恨。
Better is a dinner of herbs where love is； than a stalled ox and hatred therewith。
15：18暴怒的人，挑启争端。忍怒的人，止息分争。
A wrathful man stirreth up strife： but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife。
15：19懒惰人的道，像荆棘的篱笆。正直人的路，是平坦的大道。
The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns： but the way of the righteous is made plain。
15：20智慧子使父亲喜乐。愚昧人藐视母亲。
A wise son maketh a glad father： but a foolish man despiseth his mother。
15：21无知的人，以愚妄为乐。聪明的人，按正直而行。
Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom： but a man of understanding walketh uprightly。
15：22不先商议，所谋无效。谋士众多，所谋乃成。
Without counsel purposes are disappointed： but in the multitude of counsellors they are established。
15：23口善应对，自觉喜乐。话合其时，何等美好。
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth： and a word spoken in due season； how good is it！
15：24智慧人从生命的道上升，使他远离在下的阴间。
The way of life is above to the wise； that he may depart from hell beneath。
15：25耶和华必拆毁骄傲人的家。却要立定寡妇的地界。
The LORD will destroy the house of the proud： but he will establish the border of the widow。
15：26恶谋为耶和华所憎恶。良言乃为纯净。
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD： but the words of the pure are pleasant words。
15：27贪恋财利的，扰害己家。恨恶贿赂的，必得存活。
He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house； but he that hateth gifts shall live。
15：28义人的心，思量如何回答。恶人的口，吐出恶言。
The heart of the righteous studieth to answer： but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things。
15：29耶和华远离恶人。却听义人的祷告。
The LORD is far from the wicked： but he heareth the prayer of the righteous。
15：30眼有光使心喜乐。好信息使骨滋润。
The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart： and a good report maketh the bones fat。
15：31听从生命责备的，必常在智慧人中。
The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise。
15：32弃绝管教的，轻看自己的生命。听从责备的，却得智慧。
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul： but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding。
15：33敬畏耶和华，是智慧的训诲。尊荣以前，必有谦卑。
The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom； and before honour is humility。

16：1心中的谋算在乎人。舌头的应对，由于耶和华。
The preparations of the heart in man； and the answer of the tongue； is from the LORD。
16：2人一切所行的，在自己眼中看为清洁。惟有耶和华衡量人心。
All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes； but the LORD weigheth the spirits。
16：3你所作的，要交托耶和华，你所谋的，就必成立。
mit thy works unto the LORD； and thy thoughts shall be established。
16：4耶和华所造的，各适其用。就是恶人，也为祸患的日子所造。
The LORD hath made all things for himself： yea； even the wicked for the day of evil。
16：5凡心里骄傲的，为耶和华所憎恶。虽然连手，他必不免受罚。
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD： though hand join in hand； he shall not be unpunished。
16：6因怜悯诚实，罪孽得赎。敬畏耶和华的，远离恶事。
By mercy and truth iniquity is purged： and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil。
16：7人所行的若蒙耶和华喜悦，耶和华也使他的仇敌与他和好。
When a man's ways please the LORD； he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him。
16：8多有财利，行事不义，不如少有财利，行事公义。
Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right。
16：9人心筹算自己的道路。惟耶和华指引他的脚步。
A man's heart deviseth his way： but the LORD directeth his steps。
16：10王的嘴中有神语。审判之时，他的口，必不差错。
A divine sentence is in the lips of the king： his mouth transgresseth not in judgment。
16：11公道的天平和秤，都属耶和华。囊中一切法码，都为他所定。
A just weight and balance are the LORD's： all the weights of the bag are his work。
16：12作恶为王所憎恶。因国位是靠公义坚立。
It is an abomination to kings to mit wickedness： for the throne is established by righteousness。
16：13公义的嘴，为王所喜悦。说正直话的，为王所喜爱。
Righteous lips are the delight of kings； and they love him that speaketh right。
16：14王的震怒，如杀人的使者。但智慧人能止息王怒。
The wrath of a king is as messengers of death： but a wise man will pacify it。
16：15王的脸光，使人有生命。王的恩典，好像春云时雨。
In the light of the king's countenance is life； and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain。
16：16得智慧胜似得金子。选聪明强如选银子。
How much better is it to get wisdom than gold！ and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver！
16：17正直人的道，是远离恶事。谨守己路的，是保全性命。
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil： he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul。
16：18骄傲在败坏以先，狂心在跌倒之前。
Pride goeth before destruction； and an haughty spirit before a fall。
16：19心里谦卑与穷乏人来往，强如将掳物与骄傲人同分。
Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly； than to divide the spoil with the proud。
16：20谨守训言的，必得好处。依靠耶和华的，便为有福。
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good： and whoso trusteth in the LORD； happy is he。
16：21心中有智慧，必称为通达人。嘴中的甜言，加增人的学问。
