28:14常存敬畏的,便为有福。心存刚硬的,必陷在祸患里。
Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief。
28:15暴虐的君王辖制贫民。好像吼叫的狮子,觅食的熊。
As a roaring lion; and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people。
28:16无知的君多行暴虐。以贪财为可恨的,必年长日久。
The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days。
28:17背负流人血之罪的,必往坑里奔跑,谁也不可拦阻他。
A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him。
28:18行动正直的,必蒙拯救。行事弯曲的,立时跌倒。
Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once。
28:19耕种自己田地的,必得饱食。追随虚浮的,足受穷乏。
He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough。
28:20诚实人必多得福,想要急速发财的,不免受罚。
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent。
28:21看人的情面,乃为不好。人因一块饼枉法,也为不好。
To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress。
28:22人有恶眼想要急速发财,却不知穷乏必临到他身。
He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye; and considereth not that poverty shall e upon him。
28:23责备人的,后来蒙人喜悦,多于那用舌头谄媚人的。
He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue。
28:24偷窃父母的,说,这不是罪。此人就是与强盗同类。
Whoso robbeth his father or his mother; and saith; It is no transgression; the same is the panion of a destroyer。
28:25心中贪婪的,挑起争端。倚靠耶和华的,必得丰裕。
He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat。
28:26心中自是的,便是愚昧人。凭智慧行事的,必蒙拯救。
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely; he shall be delivered。
28:27周济贫穷的,不致缺乏。佯为不见的,必多受咒诅。
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse。
28:28恶人兴起,人就躲藏。恶人败亡,义人增多。
When the wicked rise; men hide themselves: but when they perish; the righteous increase。

29:1人屡次受责罚,仍然硬着颈项,他必顷刻败坏,无法可治。
He; that being often reproved hardeneth his neck; shall suddenly be destroyed; and that without remedy。
29:2义人增多,民就喜乐。恶人掌权,民就叹息。
When the righteous are in authority; the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule; the people mourn。
29:3爱慕智慧的,使父亲喜乐。与妓女结交的,却浪费钱财。
Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth pany with harlots spendeth his substance。
29:4王藉公平,使国坚定。索要贿赂,使国倾败。
The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it。
29:5谄媚邻舍的,就是设网罗绊他的脚。
A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet。
29:6恶人犯罪,自陷网罗。惟独义人,欢呼喜乐。
In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice。
29:7义人知道查明穷人的案。恶人没有聪明,就不得而知。
The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it。
29:8亵慢人煽惑通城。智慧人止息众怒。
Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath。
29:9智慧人与愚妄人相争,或怒,或笑,总不能使他止息。
If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man; whether he rage or laugh; there is no rest。
29:10好流人血的,恨恶完全人。索取正直人的性命。
The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul。
29:11愚妄人怒气全发。智慧人忍气含怒。
A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards。
29:12君王若听谎言,他一切臣仆都是奸恶。
If a ruler hearken to lies; all his servants are wicked。
29:13贫穷人,强暴人,在世相遇,他们的眼目,都蒙耶和华光照。
The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes。
29:14君王凭诚实判断穷人,他的国位,必永远坚立。
The king that faithfully judgeth the poor; his throne shall be established for ever。
29:15杖打和责备,能加增智慧。放纵的儿子,使母亲羞愧。
The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame。
29:16恶人加多,过犯也加多。义人必看见他们跌倒。
When the wicked are multiplied; transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall。
29:17管教你的儿子,他就使你得安息,也必使你心里喜乐。
Correct thy son; and he shall give thee rest; yea; he shall give delight unto thy soul。
29:18没有异象,(或作默示)民就放肆。惟遵守律法的,便为有福。
Where there is no vision; the people perish: but he that keepeth the law; happy is he。
29:19只用言语,仆人不肯受管教,他虽然明白,也不留意。
A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer。
29:20你见言语急躁的人吗。愚昧人比他更有指望。
Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him。
29:21人将仆人从小娇养,这仆人终久必成了他的儿子。
He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him bee his son at the length。
29:22好气的人,挑启争端。暴怒的人,多多犯罪。
An angry man stirreth up strife; and a furious man aboundeth in transgression。
29:23人的高傲,必使他卑下。心里谦逊的,必得尊荣。
A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit。
29:24人与盗贼分赃,是恨恶自己的性命。他听见叫人发誓的声音,却不言语。
Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing; and bewrayeth it not。
29:25惧怕人的陷入网罗。惟有倚靠耶和华的,必得安稳。
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe。
29:26求王恩的人多。定人事乃在耶和华。
Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment eth from the LORD。
29:27为非作歹的,被义人憎嫌。行事正直的,被恶人憎恶。
An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked。

30:1雅基的儿子亚古珥的言语,就是真言。
The words of Agur the son of Jakeh; even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel; even unto Ithiel and Ucal;
30:2这人对以铁和乌甲说,我比众人更蠢笨,也没有人的聪明。
Surely I am more brutish than any man; and have not the understanding of a man。
30:3我没有学好智慧。也不认识至圣者。
I neither learned wisdom; nor have the knowledge of the holy。
30:4谁升天又降下来。谁聚风在掌中。谁包水在衣服里。谁立定地的四极。他名叫什么。他儿子叫名叫什么。你知道吗。
Who hath ascended up into heaven; or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name; and what is his son's name; if thou canst tell?
30:5神的言语,句句都是炼净的,投靠他的,他便作他们的盾牌。
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him。
30:6他的言语,你不可加添。恐怕他责备你,你就显为说谎言的。
Add thou not unto his words; lest he reprove thee; and thou be found a liar。
30:7我求你两件事,在我未死之先,不要不赐给我
