当灾祸的日子，你是我的避难所（耶17：17）。 有许多人说：谁能指示我们什么好处？耶和华啊，求你仰起脸来，光照我们（诗4：6）。我要歌颂你的力量，早晨要高唱你的慈爱；因为你作过我的高台，在我急难的日子作过我的避难所（诗59：16）。 我凡事平顺，便说：我永不动摇。你掩了面，我就惊惶。耶和华啊，我曾求告你。我向耶和华恳求，说：我被害流血，下到坑中，有什么益处呢？尘土岂能称赞你，传说你的诚实么？耶和华啊，求你应允我，怜恤我；耶和华啊，求你帮助我（诗30：6…10）。 我离弃你不过片时，却要施大恩将你收回。我的怒气涨溢，顷刻之间向你掩面，却要以永远的慈爱怜恤你。这是耶和华你的救赎主说的（赛54：7，8）。你们的忧愁要变为喜乐（约16：20）。一宿虽然有哭泣，早晨便必欢呼（诗30：5）。

亚当生了一个儿子，形象样式和自己相似（创5：3）。 谁能使洁净之物出于污秽之中呢（伯14：4）？我是在罪孽里生的，在我母亲怀胎的时候就有了罪（诗51：5）。你们死在过犯罪恶之中，本为可怒之子，和别人一样（弗2：1，3）。我是属乎肉体的，是已经卖给罪了。因为我所作的，我自已不明白。我所愿意的，我并不作；我所恨恶的，我倒去作。我也知道在我里头，就是我肉体之中，没有良善（罗7：14，15，18）。 罪是从一个人入了世界，因一人的悖逆，众人成为罪人（罗5：12，19）。若因一人的过犯，众人都死了。何况 神的恩典，与那因耶稣基督一人恩典中的赏赐，岂不更加倍地临到众人吗（罗5：15）？赐生命圣灵的律在基督耶稣里释放了我，使我脱离罪和死的律了（罗8：2）。感谢 神，使我们藉着我们的主耶稣基督得胜（林前15：57）。 Adam 。。。 begat a son in his own likeness。 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean？ — Behold； I was shapen in iniquity； and in sin did my mother conceive me。 Dead in trespasses and sins； 。。。 by nature the children of wrath； even as others。 — I am carnal； sold under sin。 That which I do I allow not； for what I would； that do I not； but what I hate； that do I。 I know that in me （that is； in my flesh；） dwelleth no good thing。 By one man sin entered into the world； 。。。 by one man's disobedience many were made sinners。 — If through the offence of one many be dead； much more the grace of God； and the gift by grace； which is by one man； Jesus Christ； hath abounded unto many。
