你为自己图谋大事么？不要图谋（耶45：5）。 我心里柔和谦卑，你们当负我的轭，学我的样式，这样，你们心里就必得享安息（太11：29）。你们当以基督耶稣的心为心。他本有 神的形像，不以自己与 神同等为强夺的，反倒虚己，取了奴仆的形像，成为人的样式。既有人的样子，就自己卑微，存心顺服，以至于死，且死在十字架上（腓2：5…8）。
不背着他的十字架跟从我的，也不配作我的门徒（太10：38）。因为基督也为你们受过苦，给你们留下榜样，叫你们跟随他的脚踪行（彼前2：21）。然而，敬虔加上知足的心便是大利了，因为我们没有带什么到世上来，也不能带什么去，只要有衣有食，就当知足（提前6：
