你们也要听见打仗和打仗的风声，总不要惊慌（太24：6）。

你所击打的，他们就逼迫（诗69：26）。 绊倒人的事是免不了的，但那绊倒人的有祸了（路17：1）！他既按着 神的定旨先见被交于人，你们就藉着无法之人的手把他钉在十字架上杀了（徒2：23）。他们就吐唾沫在他脸上，用拳头打他；也有用手掌打他的，说：基督啊，你是先知，告诉我们打你的是谁？祭司长和文士并长老也是这样戏弄他，说：他救了别人，不能救自己。他是以色列的王，现在可以从十字架上下来（太26：67，68；27：41，42）。希律和本丢彼拉多、外邦人和以色列民果然在这城里聚集，要攻打你所膏的圣仆耶稣，成就你手和你意旨所预定必有的事（徒4：27，28）。 他诚然担当我们的忧患，背负我们的痛苦；我们却以为他受责罚，被 神击打苦待了（赛53：4）。

耶和华却定意将他压伤，使他受痛苦（赛53：10）。 我现在心里忧愁，我说什么才好呢？父啊，救我脱离这时候，但我原是为这时候来的。父啊，愿你荣耀你的名。当时就有声音从天上来说：我已经荣耀了我的名，还要再荣耀（约12：27，28）。父啊，你若愿意，就把这杯撤去，然而，不要成就我的意思，只要成就你的意思。有一位天使从天上显现，加添他的力量（路22：42，43）。 既有人的样子，就自己卑微，存心顺服，以至于死，且死在十字架上（腓2：8）。我父爱我，因我将命舍去，好再取回来（约10：17）。因为我从天上降下来，不是要按自己的意思行，乃是要按那差我来者的意思行（约6：38）。我父所给我的那杯，我岂可不喝呢（约18：11）。 那差我来的，是与我同在；他没有撇下我独自在这里，因为我常作他所喜悦的事（约8：29）。这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的（太3：17）。看哪，我所拣选、心里所喜悦的（赛42：1）。 It pleased the Lord to bruise him； he hath put him to grief。 Now is my soul troubled； and what shall I say？ Father； save me from this hour： but for this cause came I unto this hour。 Father； glorify thy name。 Then came there a voice from heaven； saying； I have both glorified it； and will glorify it again。 — Father； if thou be willing； remove this cup from me： never…theless not my will； but thine； be done。 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven； strengthening him。
